moving house

we have moved to another house a smaller more homely one and havent had internet connection so i have had to relay on my brain to keep track of every thing i have done so far instead of doing my blog. So every thing i write wont be in the right order but it will be the general idea.

on sunday morning i went out with Donna ( a teacher at janes school) and her 12 year old daughter, larna and her 3 year old son, Charlie. We had a drive all around the south of the island and we found a festival with stalls and people dancing in the open air.... its ok when other people dance but when your Mum joins in .. well you know. After this we found another beach  and me and Larna swam and hurled our selves in and out of the waves. That night i had a sleepover at thier house. Thier house was completly different to any house i had seen before it looked like a normal home on the inside but outside half of the house had been built on a massive rock!

On a wednesday Jane took us to a market by the beach and we ate thier version of a take away, it tasted nothing like food i had had back in england and at first i was convinced i wouldnt like it but after my first bite i realised it was one of the best things i ever tasted (just about) they were vegetable curry wrapped by a sort of naan/pancake thing! yummy!

We went to a different market in the main town (Victoria) the market stalls were full of bright colours and i was soon in love with a dress! The purple fabric stood out to me and the flowers on it made me just have to have it... so i got that for myself and wore it for the rest of the day!

I cant believe it has been a whole week already but so far the seychelles has been great. The sun sets at 7 o'clock and it is almost pitch black just half an hour later. Living so close to a beach is something i havent experianced before and it is fantastic! there are so many new creatures to discover here. I held a gecho (a small lizard type thing that makes a laughing time noise and moves so quickly it was easy to miss it completly.) there are birds with bright red heads and chests that are just beautiful. However the scenery is one of the best things. The thin misty clouds surround the mountain tops that are covered in a thick forrest of greenery. The sun set is on the beach and sets right into the water turning the sky different shades of pink and purple and orange.
